Useful tourist information
Its superb location, in the heart of the Salnés Valley, makes PAZO CARRASQUEIRA the ideal base from which to explore the town of Cambados and visit its magnificent and historic town centre, the ruins and cemetery of Santa María dating back to the 16th century, or Fefiñáns Palace, also 16th century. Other highly recommended visits include Vilanova de Arousa, birthplace of the great writer Valle-Inclán, La Toja Island, or any of the areas beaches.
The surrounding area is one of fabulous countryside and historic monuments, including many of the most important to be found in the entire province. The Manor House also has its own wine cellar dedicated to the production of Albariño (an exquisite local variety of wine) made with grapes from its very own vineyard.
Organised cultural visits are available with programmed itineraries, as well as hiking trails of great ecological, gastronomic and scenic interest, such as the Wine Trail, plus bird watching trails, such as the the White-cheeked Pintail Trail. You can also play golf at the Armenteira Golf Course which is not far from the Manor.
